About the Author
Nicholas Fox, a solicitor specialising in electronic patent litigation at Simmons & Simmons
is qualified as both a European and a Chartered British patent
attorney. He initially qualified as a barrister and is also admitted to
the bar of the state of
New York.
He was the advocate in
the High Court on behalf of the
Oneida Indian Nation on appeal against a
decision of the Comptroller and on behalf of a
consortium of four small British companies prompting a
change of policy of the UK-IPO towards claims directed to computer
readable media.
He has taught on the JDD European
Qualifying Examination course since
2003, lectures on litigation for the
European Patent Academy and is a
guest lecturer for the
M.Sc. and
